This is the result of the Health Education Council's research and development project "The Integration of Lifeskills Teaching and Health Education" (1983-86) and the Health Education Authority's "Healthskills Dissemination Project: A Whole School Approach to Lifeskills and Health Education" (1986-90). The teaching materials in this ringbinder consist of lesson plans and worksheets. For each of the ten skills covered there are six activities for Key Stage 4. The material focuses on the physical, psychological and social aspects of health within the everyday experience of children at school and home, and emphasizes the concept of empowerment as the key to health for the individual within the community.
