After their father is made redudant, Sandra and Meg try to raise some money by opening a creche in their half-bult second home. Enlisting the help of their mum and trying to keep it a secret from their dad cause the family tension Sandra's been hoping for after the normal family life she's found so howlingly boring. The project goes completely against Dad's beliefs, so when he finds out, he explodes and tries to put a stop to things. The family begins to fall apart and Dad moves out, into the second home. Sandra seems to have got her wish, but as the summer draws to a close, she realises there was more to it than just babysitting.
