Thirteen-year-old Oliver Carrick is a quiet, timid boy who has the most incredible dreams! With a violent stepdad and cruel classmates, he is bullied by day - but by night he is swept away in mysterious dreams of a strange, yet somehow familiar, house.
As Oliver's behaviour deteriorates, he finds himself suspended from school. Too scared to tell anyone, he feels he has no choice but to run away - and so begins a magical adventure as his dreams begin to become real!
Together with Jess, a homeless girl he meets who has had identical dreams, Oliver encounters fantastic beasts and bewildering characters, knowing danger lurks around every turn.
Oliver and Jess know they have to find that mysterious house. But what will they find when they get there?
