Willow, a four month old tabby kitten, and a favourite at Beech Hill, has just been successfully re-homed after Hoody found her dumped in the park. But a family problem just before Christmas means that Willow's new owners have to move house. Willow goes too. But two days before Christmas the kitten goes missing from her new home. Carly and Hoody set out to find her. Meanwhile, a starving red-setter, flea-ridden, with matted hair and ill with a possible kidney problem, mysteriously turns up on the Beech Hill doorstep. No one claims the dog, christened Jerome by Carly. Two sad cases in the week before Christmas. Lost: one kitten. Found: one dog. Will either have a happy ending?
