In 1991, Kids Can Save the Animals! was released. It was a great hit with children and received excellent reviews from librarians, parents and teachers. Fifteen years later, PETA's overall membership and its outreach programme for children has grown immensely and children's interest in helping animals is stronger than ever.
Children are now leading their elders in demanding fair play for animals and asking adults why people wear fur, if it's okay to keep fish, if they really have to cut up that frog in class, how to make sure there are enough homes for dogs and cats and much more.
