A great book about duck hearing a noise under her bed and calling for help. As all her friends call for the next person to help, they all add a little to the scariness of the 'monster' under the bed. Fortunately when they are brave enough to look, it's not a monster at all!

We really loved this book as their is a real element of surprise at the end. It is a fun book to read with lots of noises from the animals, oliver has read it several times and really gets into the characters trying to do good impressions of each animal. A really good book for kids who are starting out reading

Lovely story about what happens when you exaggerate! Duck has a 'monster' under the bed. Or is it...... Beautiful illustrations and short sentences on each page so even an older toddler can engage. My husband was concerned that it might lead to her developing a fear of what's under her bed, but as the end is quite funny she hasn't. I think it would be a great book if kids were afraid, as it shows how fears are often unfounded.
