Bristol Schools began to introduce some emotional literacy initiatives across all key stages, using a variety of programmes and interventions. The results are documented in a video and book, which celebrates the achievements in 10 schools. Topics include:

" you can do it
" Year 6 transition
" locus of control
" drama
" PSHE lessons
" Circle Time
" mediation
" parenting issues
" assembly
" puppet work.
The video with explanatory book introduces a wide range of activities and inspires schools to timetable emotional literacy. Bristol City Council is grateful to the Gulbenkian Foundation. Its funding enables this package to be offered on a not for profit basis.
