As school trips go, this one is pretty awesome...

When I was told we were going to London to study Living History, I thought they were joking. But here I am! Rafe Khatchadorian - global jetsetter!

Now all I need to do is find a way of avoiding the school bully, getting Jeanne Galletta to talk to me, and try not to get lost in London.

But things are never that simple. So fasten your seatbelts and hold on tight, because this could be a very bumpy flight...

I read it to School Librarians aged 8 to 11
Middle School: How I Got Lost in London 9780099596653
5 stars
James Patterson - the author of many gripping adult novels - has also written a large number of funny books for children. These books are ideal for reluctant readers, bookworms and everyone in between. One of his series is 'Middle School' which features Rafe, who has a gift for drawing but also gets himself into trouble on a frequent basis. In this World Book Day special, Rafe along with his classmates and teachers come on a school trip to London. This funny book is a great introduction to the rest of the series as it is shorter than the average book. It was loved by one of our year 4 librarians.

When Rafe is invited to London, in this World Book Day book, he is bullied by his old nemesis Miller. I liked the fact that London landmarks are mentioned in the book. The book is shorter than the other Middle School books and is very easily readable.
