A must have first book for every little reader.
________________________________________________________________________ One of Beatrix Potter's most popular and well-loved tales, this mischievous little rabbit has hopped into the heart of generations of book lovers. Peter Rabbit loves the yummy vegetables he finds in Mr McGregor's garden, the only problem is: Mr McGregor doesn't want Peter to get his paws on his crops! First published in 1902, this edition has been re-originated so it matches Beatrix's first published work, all those years ago.
________________________________________________________________________ Beatrix Potter is one of the world's best-loved children's authors , and has created a vast collection of stories based on her other iconic characters, including Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Benjamin Bunny, Jemima Puddle-Duck, Mr. Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. Her humorous and lively tales are a natural part of childhood, and are the perfect nursery books for all little ones. Today Beatrix Potter's original 23 tales are still published by Frederick Warne, alongside a wide range of other formats including baby books, activity books and gift and sound books.

I read it to Piglet aged 4 aged 4

Probably the most well known of all Beatrix Potter tales, Peter Rabbit is a childhood classic. The story is full of drama - Peter is clearly told by his mother to avoid Mr McGregor's garden, a rule he breaks straight away. After feasting on the vegetables he is spotted and Mr McGregor chases after him. Will Peter be caught or will he escape?
I think most children can probably relate to doing something forbidden. The old fashioned turn of words and delightful drawings mean that this story continues to engage young children.

I liked the book because it was easy and hard words and I had to practice the hard words to get them right and learn new words. The characters were really nice I liked Peter Rabbit because he was good at escaping and he was interesting. Peter was the best. Mr magreggor was nice but kept trying to chase the rabbits.
I enjoyed the book very much

My daughter was really excited to read this, as she likes Peter Rabbit, and watches it on the tv. We have recently watched the Peter Rabbit film at the cinema, so she wants to read the book all the time now. We loved the size of the book, great for little hands. My daughter read bits of the book herself, but when we read it, mostly I read it to her. She enjoys the story, and likes to mae comparisons to the film we saw

Classic Book - Peter Rabbit ventures into Mr McGregor's garden against his mother's wishes, in search of radishes and other delights.... and narrowly evades capture on several occasions! An ideal sized book with charming illustrations - this is the Beatrix Potter book Sophie (our 3 yr old) searches for... and sits by herself "reading out loud" (as she knows it by heart), quietly turning each page.
It's the 150th anniversary of Potter's birth this year - and we were lucky enough to attend a session on Peter Rabbit at the National Trust's book festival at Wray Castle. It pointed out that a friendly little robin follows Peter around the garden.... why had I never noticed this before? Sophie now points out the robins along the way.

Oh Peter! The little rascal embarks on an adventure through Mr MacGregor's veg patch and ends up poorly in bed, having lost his smart jacket and shoes along the way. Yes it is a classic but we love the gentle jeopardy he faces in the form of the gardener himself, a sieve and a cat. The illustrations are beautifully detailed and so realistic. My son can read (from memory) large passages of the text along with me and never tires of this famous bunny.

We have this book part of the Beatrix potter complete collection. Its a lovely mini sized book with a nice paper cover. The front page has 'this book belongs to' page, I like this section to write my daughter name on and a little message with the date on.
This is a classic beautiful book with heart warming illustrations. Although it's a chunky ish book it can easily be read in one bedtime story sitting. Its a lovely story about Peter rabbit, flopsy, mopsy and cottontail. The naughty little Peter rabbit gets into mischief and goes to Mr mcgregor's garden. Peter became poorly but then his mother made him lovely calomile tea. This is a lovely story for children. One of the books out of the collection that is child friendly and not too old fashioned in wording that they'll be able to understand it ok. I love this classic book. My baby loves a bedroom story and this one is such a lovely one to read to her.

This is a classic story that I loved as a child and it is lovely to share it with my own children. This version keeps to the small classic style of earlier editions; perfect for little hands to hold. The illustrations are so familiar and have remained timeless. My children loved listening to the story of naughty Peter's visit to Mr McGregor's garden; it has enough excitement to keep 21st century youngsters engaged, even though it was written over 100 years ago!
