Travel the world to a variety of amazing locations - from jungle to desert to woodland to ocean and see if you can spot the birds that are hiding there. It's harder than you think!

The brilliant and highly successful wildlife artist, Matt Sewell has now created his first ever children's book and it's amazing! The locations and birds are brought to life in wonderful detail, and there's so much to see on every page.

As well as having fun spotting the birds, you'll also learn about the different species and where they live - then maybe you'll also spot them in real life on your travels!

Get twitching, get spotting, have fun!

What a beautiful book! The pictures are beautifully illustrated! I love that it teaches you about the different birds and the habits that they love in. I also love it helps children with counting, Alfie (3) loved finding all the animals. Charlie (4) loved hunting for the birds and finding the right number of them. Such a great book! Thank you

I read this book to my 6 year old and he loved it. He was so interested in all the different types of birds, he has since been asking for more information on bird types. The book is colourful and bright. Would highly recommend this book for all ages.

What a lovely book this is. I love how my little ones could learn about the birds and the different environments that they live in. My children both loved spotting the birds on each page and my son enjoyed practicing his counting too. Both of my children really enjoyed reading this book and have come back to look at it again several times already.

This book focuses on different types of birds and the environments around the world they live in. On each double page you are given some information on a species of bird for example the ring-necked parakeet that lives deep in the jungle. Then you have to find a certain number of these birds in the fantastically colourful scene in front of you. For any tricky ones or to simply check your guesses there are answers for each scene at the back of the book along with the names of other animals in each location. This is a very fun learning tool for young readers and the whole family really enjoyed 'bird spotting' on each page. We loved this book!

This book is like the where's wally of the bird world,
It has beautiful pictures on lovely glossy pages set in different environments with different types of bird to find, that suits each environment. I gave my boys the book to look at whilst they were off School poorly. They really enjoyed spotting all the birds and spent ages pouring over each page.

My older son (6)  enjoyed reading the facts about each bird whilst his brother (5) enjoyed practised his counting skills, even my 2 year old loved looking at the pictures and tried his hand at counting.

I think it would be excellent for in the car especially for long journeys or to whip out whilst waiting for drs appointments etc.

Matt Sewell has produced a beautiful book for children, and it is great to see him branch out from his books for grown ups. This book produces bird-spotting opportunities from the comfort of your own home. Travel round the world, each double-page spread offers a landscape for different birds. There is a circle of information about a particular bird, along with a picture of the bird - and a number. The task is to see if you can find all the birds in the picture. This is not an easy 'Spot the...' book, but the challenges are fun , and there is a handy guide at the back to show you where to find all the birds.

Beautiful illustrations, interesting information and a fun engaging activity - what's not to love about this book?!

Another beautifully illustrated book from the talented Matt Sewell. My 10-year old daughter loves his birds, and this book has plenty of them, you just need to find them! This is what Isobel has to say:

"I love this book because the drawings are simply adorable, beautiful and very colourful. I liked the information about the different birds in the circles at the top of the pages. I learnt about birds I never knew existed such as the Willow Tit and the Northern Wheatear."

My 7-year old son says: "they're sooooo cuuuuute!"

This is a beautifully illustrated book as you would expect from Matt Sewell. On each double page spread, there is a scene from a different environment i.e. Flowering meadow, Jungle, Farm etc. The reader is asked to spot a given a little information on one type of bird and is then meant to spot how many there are the two pages. The answers are at the back of the book. The birds are pointed out by little circles, as are a few other animals and birds.  This book left me a little disappointed. My son enjoyed looking through the pages and finding the hidden birds. However, it is not a book you would come back to repeatedly. It is a pity there is not more information on the birds to be spotted. It is probably more suited to a younger child (pre-school).

My son loved this book very vibrant and interactive. He loved trying to spot the different animals in the picture and he usually forgets what we have read a few pages later but as it was short bursts of relevant information it stuck! Fantastic!

Our 5 & 6 year old boys enjoyed this book albeit we had to swap to another book at bedtime as the images are surprisingly tricky especially when trying to find the birds in dimmed lighting. We all learned a few new things and overall are very pleased with the story, illustration and facts, finding the birds in each page was a great activity.
