When my son opened the package and found this book there were lots of 'wows', 'this is great'. He wasn't overly impressed by how long it took for me to download the app to the tablet. (It was in actual fact very easy to do.) There is a lot of information in the book. Information is broken down into relatively short bite sized chunks. There is also a handy Glossary at the back. However, it was the app that really appealed to my son. He  took considerably delight in trying to scare me with huge bugs especially the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, which he enlarged to horror film proportions. He enjoyed landing them on me and then having them disappear, however, still being present and making a noise. We were both impressed with the butterfly and how it can actually fly. Excellent book which we would both recommend.

Both my children really liked this interactive book. We have had one like this in the past, a dinosaur one that was the same, so.I knew they would enjoy it. My eldest enjoyed reading the facts as well as the interactive bits and my youngest enjoyed lookong at thr pictures. The app was easy to download to an apple ipad, and it was free which was great. The app is also easy to use. They both really enjoyed the interactive bits, where the bugs would come to life on the book and you could make it walk around the living room, which was pretty cool. They were both disappointed that they couldnt do the battles in interactive mode, as you needed 2 different devices with the app on and we only had the 1. This is a book they will use frequently and have looked at a lot since theyve had it.

This was such an amazing book. Although, it was a bit surprisingly scary too.
This book also has an app that makes the insects in your book come to life.
This book tells you lots of information about creepy crawlies.

I won this book from Toppsta for my little brother, and he has really enjoyed this. The book itself is very factual and engaging, and the interactive app is even better! It allows you to battle the bugs with friends and provides a camera, which allows you to view your house with the bug inside. Therefore, you can take a picture of your room with the bug, and pictures of friends posing with the bug. I sent my friends a picture of my little brother petting a Goliath Bird-Eating Spider, which baffled them!

This is an amazing book. Great illustrations and descriptions. My best part is the interacting on screen where you can make all of the bugs not only fly or walk, but rear up or sting.

I thought this book was brilliant and so much better than i expected.

It's very informative and i like the way the information is laid out in bite-size chunks. The imagery is stunning and it's great to see bugs like this in such close up detail.

I enjoyed the accompanying app and downloaded it straight away to get to grips with it.

I haven't put this book down all week, i've been fascinated by every page.

This book was good because I thought it was educational and I learnt a lot about bugs. I liked using my mum's phone to see the bugs and they looked really yucky.

This is a big book that has lots of great big facts in. The app is great and I used it on my own to make the bgs move round the room. My favourite was the butterfly. I shared this book with my friend when she came over and we had so much fun giggling at the bugs and making them walk on each other. I would recommend this book to any kid who likes facts and bugs.
