In the tenth book, more bad luck follows Greg Heffley in Jeff Kinney's laugh out loud series! I really don't understand why Mom thinks we need to go BACKWARDS, anyway. From what I can tell, the old days weren't that much fun. Life was better in the old days. Or was it? That's the question Greg Heffley is asking as his town voluntarily unplugs and goes electronics-free. But modern life has its conveniences, and Greg isn't cut out for an old-fashioned world. With tension building inside and outside the Heffley home, will Greg find a way to survive? Or is going 'old school' just too hard for a kid like Greg? Join the millions of 7+ readers all around the world who love reading about Greg's misadventures. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series is perfect for avid and struggling readers. Praise for Jeff Kinney: 'The world has gone crazy for Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid' - The Sun ' Kinney is right up there with J K Rowling as one of the bestselling children's authors on the planet' - Independent

In Year 3 everyone in my class started reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid - we all love it! It's great when all my friends love the books too as we can swap them.

I liked everything about Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Old School because it was funny. Greg Heffley is in love with computer games and tv, so when the town went electronics-free he struggled a bit.

I think I would struggle without electronics too! But I love reading so it might not be too bad.

If you like books that are set out like diaries you'll like this one!

Ah the humor Jeff Kinney has a knack for making readers sympathize with and scorn Greg at the same time ^^
Sometimes Greg's whiny-ness is entirely justified, and other times you just want to slap him and that family of his! Don't even get me started in his brothers! And their pet pig....oh then there's that strange excuse for a mother and father.
And the whole stinky cabin situation? Reading it was like living it, and I am kind of a clean freak so ew!
Silas Scratch the Undead Farmer will probably haunt me next time I go camping........
Seriously though, it was such a fun light read It made me smile and laugh when I felt miserable from my sore throat!
Love it! And I'm sure you all will too!!
And no, I'm not too old for these books! No one is too old to get a good laugh

The 10th Diary of a Wimpy kid book is here. This book is extremely funny. Greg goes on a trip to a place called hardscrabble farm, and is scared of a fairy tale about somebody called Silas Scratch who haunts the forest. The whole time he stays there, he experiences many weird things, such as the soup, which is all the waste food that people don't eat, mushed up and mixed with liquids. Also, his dad has to come and look after some of the kids there, and that surprises Greg massively.
An amazing book, perfect for all ages.

Diary of a wimpy kid Old School is another one of Greg Heffley's hilarious diaries. It was quite easy to read but very funny. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series encourage children to read as the stories are so funny. The main character is Gregory Heffley. My favourite thing about the series is all the illustrations. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and other people. It doesn't really matter if you like reading or not, the book is suitable for everyone and all ages.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid has HUGE appeal.
It is a legendary phenomenon...or phenomenal legend?!
It is an immensely popular series starring the irrepressible Gregory Heffley.  It is so accessible and engaging, with the cartoon illustrations and funny stories it puts the fun into reading and builds confidence for those tentative readers whilst also maintaining the interest of the confident reader.
This book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School is no exception; I only had to hint at its existence and flash the cover of it, and the Year 5 and 6 students were queuing up to be the first to read it. Crowd control was nearly an issue! And while I mention Year 5 and 6 this is a series that goes down equally well with Years 7 and 8 as it does with the much younger readers too; it’s a series that shows readers how to enjoy reading, for many it’s the beginning of their journey and introduction to reading for pleasure.
Even I, a stalwart librarian coughed to cover a barely suppressed chuckle at the thought of Manny’s ‘No Pants After Dinner’ time…yes, it’s exactly as it sounds! So, what happens in Old School? In a nutshell (a small nutshell that doesn’t do justice to the book!): Greg's Grandpa moves in; harking back to the 'good old days' Greg’s mum has organised an electronics-free day for the town (can you imagine that? no tech for a whole day! no phones, no computer, no PS4!!) and Greg is getting ready for a school trip to Hardscrabble Farm…and Silas Scratch! Or more accurately Greg was avoiding going on the trip but in light of recent events needs to put some distance between him and his dad so agrees to go on the residential school trip.....!

A very funny diary story from Greg Heffley which I was really excited to read and add to my others. I think it is funny that Greg always is stressed and that his brothers annoy him. I would like to have a best friend like Rowley and I think my dad is like the dad in the book. I like to read the diary type books to myself and also with my mum and dad, I think anyone can read these type of books boys and girls. I was sad when I finished this book and I can't wait for the other ones. Thank you Toppsta and sorry my review was bit later than usual.

Another fantastic Diary of a Wimpy Kid story. My favourite thing about this series is that it has really cool illustrations. This book was quite easy to read but was very funny and kept me entertained. I've read a couple of books like this recently where kids have had all their tech turned off....I hope my mum doesn't get any ideas
