Full of heart, fantasy, and adventure, the FOXCRAFT trilogy follows
Isla, a young fox whose world is shattered when her family suddenly

Isla's search for her missing brother, Pirie, has brought her to
the vast Wildlands. The forest is a treacherous place for a fox cub,
but Isla is talented in foxcraft - ancient arts of cunning known
only to her kind.
Skilled though she is, Isla's grasp of foxcraft is still new. And
she's not alone... A cruel and mysterious fox stalks the forest,
with the power to enslave others to his will. In order to survive,
Isla must learn to trust in the rustic Wildlands foxes.

But there are tales of others - a council of Elders who are masters
of foxcraft, and who warily guard its most potent secrets. If
Isla wishes to master her gifts and find her brother, then the Elders
may be her only hope.

I really rather enjoyed this book - the second in the Foxcraft trilogy.  I've not read the first book and found that The Elders could be read as a stand alone book.  There is a glossary of all the foxcraft terminology at the back of the book but it was easy enough to understand just by reading the story.
We follow a fox cub, Isla, who is looking for her brother Pirie.  He has been taken by a group of evil possessed foxes and Isla is seeking The Elders, a hallowed group of foxes.  We follow her journey, meeting many other foxes along the way.  The trouble is knowing which ones she can trust.
This is a book full of myth and magic and you really feel as though you get into the psyche of the foxes.  The cliff hanger ending is enough to make me want to seek out the third book when it is published!

This was a great book. I loved the way the story evolved on the way, weaving in new characters and settings. I loved the idea of fox craft, all the magical things the foxes can do, and the idea of the Elders     made me imagine great, powerful (and extremely magical) beings.
But what I really loved about this book was that it could've really happen. In amongst the strands of the fox world, there are plenty of perfectly normal things, such as cars, and humans. This makes the story come well and truly to life

Foxcraft is about a fox cub named Isla. One day a pack of foxes come and steal Isla's family. Six members of Isla's family are taken, two escape (those two were named Isla and Pirie).  Unfortunately the two that escape are separated. Isla is a girl and Pirie is her brother. Isla says to herself that she is now on a mission to find her brother. Isla has yet to learn that there are more than one pack of foxes that are not nice. The whole land was full of foxes and most of them were not pleasant.
In the end, Isla find a friend called Haiki (another fox cub). Haiki knows about a pack of foxes that have a talent and that talent is "fox craft". Fox Craft is a act that most foxes can't do, it is a type of force. Isla travels with Haiki for a long time to find the pack. The pack is called Elders. When Isla finds the Elders, she asks for help to find her brother (Pirie).
I liked this book because I am very interested in wildlife and I like the way Isla never gives up. I like the chapters of the book because every time I came to a new chapter there was a picture in a circle and the chapter number.

I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read the ones before it but I still followed this book well. I love books like this, isla was trying to find her brother and on her journey met lots of other fox's on the way and some were bad fox's. I really can't wait to read the next book because I want to know what happens.

It's a nice but slow story about a fox named Isla. It takes a while to get in to it.

At first I  couldn't get into this book but after a few pages i was completely submerged into the story. I fell in love with the fox cub called Isla. Her family was taken but Isla and her brother managed to escape. Isla and her brother get seperated and she goes on an adventure  to find her family. In some parts it was a little scary and i got upset for Isla and in these parts i couldn't put the book down until i knew she was ok. I recommend this book for any animal lover ☺ (written by 10 year old)

it's taken a little while to get to the end of this book. My son loved the idea of the story and decided to read the first one in the triology before reading this. However he felt he could never really get into either. The storylines are in great deapth & describe a lot of detail. Maybe too much ass my son seemed to get bored and didn't finish them.
