An innocent ghost tour in the heart of Edinburgh soon turns into a desperate race against time that reveals a century old mystery. When exploring the city's underground vaults, Doreen is attacked by a ghostly, luminous cloud. Thanks to Monkey's quick actions, Doreen escapes. As she recovers she tells Monkey that she heard voices in her head, ghostly voices pleading to return home, a home beyond the Earth! When Monkey learns that sightings of ghosts were reported across Edinburgh that same weekend he decides to investigate. After visiting an observatory, a quarry and a famous monument in Edinburgh, Monkey starts to piece together the clues and realises that he is the only person who can save the day - but in doing so he must risk his life!

Why are ghosts appearing across Edinburgh? What secret lies inside the Scott Monument? Where do the ghosts come from and what do they really want? Will Monkey, Ian and Doreen be able to answer these questions in time to save Edinburgh from an invasion of ghosts?
