Making good decisions is a complex process that involves weighing up which are the relevant facts, analysing them, prioritising them, then predicting all the possible outcomes before choosing the preferred option. Decision-making should improve with practice and with maturity but various processes outlined above can be taught even from an early age. These cards: 1. Present ideas about the process of decision-making 2. Explore factors such as other people's involvement (good or bad?) 3. Identify personal traits 4. Highlight the importance of the decision relative to the consequences 5. Covers issues of health and personal safety The cards may be used with individuals, pairs or small groups; they can also be used with whole class groups. The sentence on each card has been designed to provoke a response which will lead to further discussion and debate. Contains 30 A5 cards in a robust tin.
