Snap Science Teaching Framework Year 5 provides sequenced lesson plans and high-quality resource sheets for every topic in the new Programme of Study. The materials have been developed with scientific enquiry at the heart and all lessons are stimulated by a question for children to answer, scientific phenomenon to investigate or problem to solve.
Snap Science supports best practice in primary science teaching and teacher assessment.
The printed Teaching Framework is organised into a series of modules, based on the topics in the new Programme of Study. Teachers should plan to teach all of the complete modules over a year, regularly fitting in lessons from the Our Changing World module.
Sequenced lesson plans are provided for every module. Snap Science is designed around the principle that science should be taught at least once a week throughout the year, as Ofsted recommends.
The modules are divided into ‘core’ and ‘enrichment’ lessons. The ‘core’ lessons cover all of the objectives from the Programme of Study. The ‘enrichment’ lessons provide extra breadth and depth for the topic.
This book provides a complete print copy of all lessons plans to support the extensive resources provided online on Collins Connect accessible by subscription.
