This is a teaching resource which covers the initial sounds of words (28 sounds in total). Each sound is split into three parts with activities for: preparing the ears for reading, preparing the eyes for reading and exercising the brain for reading. Activities include nursery rhymes, songs, identifying objects with the sound, listening games and specific physical activities that are to help stimulate the brain. The Audio CD contains songs and nursery rhymes. It matches the new government guidance on teaching phonics - covering the requirements of phase 1. It includes flexible teaching notes and activities.
