"From There to Hear: How I Got My Cochlear Implant" is a photograph biography of a young child's hearing journey. Cade and his family share their experience going from hearing aids to a cochlear implant, in a way that is easy for children to understand. This gives young readers the opportunity to relate to the story and perhaps ease any fears about an upcoming surgery. It is important for children to know that they are not alone, and it also allows for them to know what to expect. At the conclusion of the book, there is a letter written to parents that are considering going through the implant journey with their child. I hope that you and your child enjoy sitting and reading this book together, as much as I enjoy sharing this experience with the many children that I work with.
