This two-book photocopiable series consists of six comprehensive units of work. Each unit is prefaced by teacher support material, ideas for classroom organisation, equipment notes, starter activities and assessment suggestions. Each unit contains a range of tasks and activities which build skills in design and technology related concepts. Book A contains units on bicycles, designing and making kites, puppets and measuring instruments and gadgets. Book B contains units on containers, waste management and fitness equipment and clothing. Students will work on a broad range of tasks including: information gathering, analysing and processing data, planning and testing, making a final solution, making class presentations and writing up results.
