Star Stories is an innovative outcomes-based reading instruction programme that teaches young learners to become competent and indepedent readers. It consists of a range of exciting and colourful storybooks, a Workbook and a Teacher's Book. Star Stories has already proven a great success in creating an enthusiasm for reading among thousands of learners around the country. There are 20 children's information and storybooks within Star Stories for Grade 3 which are graded into 4 levels of difficulty. The books have been written by a variety of South African authors and are all in full colour. Has worksheets with activities that relate to each of the books. Each worksheet teaches reading and writing skills. It is designed for learners to practise their reading at home. It can be used as take-home reading material replacing the need to send the actual storybooks - this extends the life of the storybooks.
