This outcomes-based course is for Xhosa first language learners. It encourages reading, thinking and communication strategies and focuses on individual, pair and group work. This course provides: learning activities such as writing, reading, speaking and listening to empower learners to be proficient users of their language; lessons that cover a variety of skills and are a product of in-depth research; reading texts enhanced and supported by illustrations; additional revision exercises and reading texts to help the teacher with remedial and continuous assessment activities.
