This exciting Intermediate Phase, outcomes-based course is for isiXhosa first language learners. Focussing on individual, pair and groupwork, it encourages reading, thinking and communication strategies. Writing, stories and other activities empower learners to be proficient and skilled users of their language and the lessons cover a variety of skills that are a product of in-depth research. The reading texts are enhanced and supported by attractive and colourful illustrations. This programme is aimed at meeting the needs of the new curriculum.
