This comic tells the story of Lunga, a boy in Durban. He longs to be a surfer. Sometimes a friend lends him a surfboard and he practises his moves in the waves. Lunga goes to a surfing contest and watches the professional surfers. He gets a used surfboard from one of the surfers and cannot believe his luck! He then negotiates with his mom that he can surf on certain days if he does all his homework. He enters a contest to be in a development team. He comes second and earns a place in the team and a chance to surf in another championship.
