"Reading in my World" is a dynamic reading series for Foundation Phase learners of English as a new or additional language. It draws on and extends the themes, language skills and thinking skills from "Language in my World". This outcomes-based series consists of 24 story books (8 for each Grade in the Foundation Phase) which nurture a lifelong love of reading. Each Grade has its own Teacher's Guide and is designed to draw on the learner's knowledge and experience; extend their language and thinking skills; develop a high level of visual literacy; nurture creativity and stimulate the imagination; and to help the learner's develop the critical and specific outcomes.
