Reading in my World is a dynamic reading series for Foundation Phase learners of English as a new or additional language. It draws on and extends the themes, language skills and thinking skills from Language in my World. This outcomes-based series consists of 24 story books (8 for each Grade in the Foundation Phase) which nurture a lifelong love of reading. Each Grade has its own Teacher's Guide. The series offers an accessible approach to teaching reading in the OBE classroom. has detailed notes on each of the 8 story books at Grade 3 level and contains explicit information on how to use TASC (Thinking Actively in a Social Context) - the methodology which underpins Language in my World. It is also designed to be easy to read and is laid out with the teacher in mind and has mindmaps which cluster important concepts.
