This exciting, outcomes-based course is for Sepedi first language learners in the foundation Phase. It focuses on individual, pair and group work, and encourages reading and viewing, thinking and reasoning, listening and communication. This programme is aimed at meeting the needs for the Revised national curriculum Statement. It contains carefully chosen topics that address issues of national concern, such as HIV/AIDS, abuse, human rights and inclusively and many more. Course components consist of a Learner's book, Reader, Teacher's Guide and a Workbook. The Learner's Book is well illustrated with colourful artwork and additional revision exercises and reading texts that helps both the learners and the teacher with continuous assessment activities. Workbooks for Grades 1 to 3 help to develop writing skills while the Teacher's Guide explains the use of the Learner's Book and how to conduct each and every activity based on the learning outcome that a particular activity addresses. Readers are available for all the Grades and contain a variety of texts based on the experiences of the learners.
Poster, word and picture charts are available for Grade 1, specifically to reinforce oral, reading and visual literacy skills.
