This text is linked to the ACE Literacy Programme by a set of Readers, which provide the stories and settings for activities in both these learning areas. Learners become familiar with the events and characters in the Readers, which provide a recognzsable context for the activities in the Workbook. This Workbook provides lively, manageable activities for learners who may not have had the advantage of a year in Grade R. It offers them opportunities for discovery and accomplishment.
