Story Box Bible Tales uses simple everyday objects and a variety of helpful prompts to encourage children to tell and share stories from the Bible, and interweave these stories with their experience of everyday life. The aim is to enable children to own Bible stories in a meaningful and lasting way, and to engage both children and adults on a journey where the story is told and shared together. The story objects can be kept in a special box or bag decorated to reflect the theme of the story and used time and time again. Each story also offers an optional related craft activity designed to extend or enhance the storytelling experience. All the stories are linked to key moments in life such as special times of year and significant milestones, or everyday themes such as holidays or making friends. The ideas provide an ideal opportunity for families to explore the Bible together at home and talk about the memories and activities they share. In church, the stories can be used in junior church and Sunday groups, all-age services or midweek clubs. Themes covered include: Times and seasons Beginnings and endings Everyday living Friends and family Learning about God's love Ideal for 6-10s and their families.
