Little Rabbit is bored. Her brothers and sisters are busy with chores and her friends are out collecting worms. Her grandfather, Big Rabbit, offers to make her his assistant for the day - he's got lots of work she can help him with. Little Rabbit laughs; her grandfather doesn't have a job - he spends all day with his friends. "Why don't you come with me and see?" replies Big Rabbit.

First they visit Mole, who has a problem with his dark tunnels, before hopping over to visit Granny Hedgehog, who's suffering with a rather nasty cold. As they're leaving they meet Dormouse who's struggling to keep his babies happy while he forages for twigs for their nest. The last stop is Squirrel's den, but the usually acrobatic Squirrel has sprained her paw. After helping her, they head home - what a busy day! In the morning Little Rabbit wakes to find her grandfather has left her a list of things to collect. Little Rabbit's excited, certain that the things are for making a kite, but she's in for a big surprise...

A heartwarming story about helping others and spreading kindness.

The kids in my class, loved this book. They especially loved all the illustrations. I have put this book in my class library and so many of the pupils will go and pick it up to read if they have any free time. I would 100% recommend this book.

Beautiful hardcover book: the illustrations and story are very nice. The story tells the story of Little Rabbit learning more about what Big Rabbit (his grandfather) does. Little Rabbit sees and learns what it is to live in a community where everyone helps each other and how this will make you so feel special! It's a cute story, easy for the little ones to like and nice for the older ones to learn with and the font and spacing looks good also for young readers. This time I've read it to my son (5 years old) before bedtime, but he also wants to give it a try!

This has topped to our favourite book ever. Sophie loves a good children's novel for bedtime. This has been perfect, we've read it in two sittings and she is already asking for it to be read again. Beautiful traditional colour illustrations on every page. This book took us into the wonderful world of the meadow with grandfather rabbit and little rabbit. A enchanting tale or kindness and friendship. Little rabbit learnt a lot about her grandfather and what his day is filled with. Sophie enjoyed learning some new big words, and she acted out any of the actions - patting my head, nodding etc. Sophie found following the story easy and has declared it her favourite book ever. I hope there is a collection of these of books.

This is such a beautiful book. The is hardback which I also think makes a book  feel extra special.
The story is based on a rabbit and her grandfather and the adventures they get up to whilst trying to help others and spread kindness.
The illustrations perfectly match the story and are beautiful.
We read the book at bedtime in a couple of sitting. A new family favourite.
We hope a series is written

This book feels special even before you open it- a well produced hardback edition. The illustrations have a lovely traditional feel to them. A story about a bored little rabbit who goes to ‘work’ with his grandfather.
I read this book to my three year old granddaughter who loved it. It is perfect for bridging the gap between picture books with a little text on each page, and progressing to a longer story that you can read in little chunks.
The story presents lots of opportunities for discussion such as the kindness theme running through the storyline. Great for introducing varied vocabulary and figures of speech e.g ‘snivelling’ and ‘like an out-of-tune trumpet’

I read it myself (an adult) & to octopod aged 5 aged 5

I read this book to my son aged 4 who enjoyed it a lot specially as at the end all animals work together and help each other.
The book is made of good quality and it is also rare that a story of this length is fully illustrated in colour at each page. There are no chapters but one can easy stop and continue reading the story as it is segmented in short visits the little rabbit and the big rabbit (Grandpa) do together.
I personally was a bit disappointed about the story itself. It is not shining out of any other children story nor are the illustrations. Everything seems softened.
