This is a gentle story from the classic Spot series exploring the activities Spot and his Grandpa do together.

The pictures are gloriously bright and complement the simple text; we spend time talking about everything we see in the pictures and even spotting colours.

The fact it's in a board book format (and fairly small) makes it ideal for my toddlers to use by themselves.

I like how they've included the changing seasons and activities you can do in each specifically. I also like how several of the activities is exactly what they do do with their Granddad so they are familiar and so interesting to them by proxy.

It's not the most exciting "Spot" book but it's a great book to wind-down with - I find it great for a bedtime story.
