A nice simple boArd book based around the 5 fruits for the caterpillar to eat. A good one for baby as it has a bit more to it than usual with a funny finger puppet to laugh at. Both my girls love it.

We have read and played with this book consitently for over a year. It's the same as the classic book with counting opportunities.  We will keep this for years to come.

Interactive finger-puppet board-book based on The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
You or your child can use the caterpillar finger puppet to count from 1 apple to five oranges then turn into a butterfly.
It's is a well-made, solid botd book with beautiful illustrations, just like the original. My children find it hilarious to watch the caterpillar wiggle and gobble up snacks. Both of them love being the caterpillar themselves - my daughter is a socially fascinated that her finger turns into a caterpillar!
Well worth a read for fans of the original or a sweet introduction to the character of the caterpillar before reading the full story. It's a firm favourite in our house!

Although, my daughter is three years old she still loves reading and playing with this book. It's an interactive book where you can be the little caterpillar by putting your finger into the puppet that can go through the pages of the book. It goes upto five juicy oranges before the caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly.  The book has survived  lots of rough play and years of reading and it's still in good condition due to its hard board pages.
