This is such a lovely book for early readers. The story is very sweet, the illustrations are lovely and it's just the right size to pack on a trip out. A pint sized story but with lots of adventure.

Scarlett and I really loved this book. It is the first chaptered book Scarlett has read (age 5). I asked to review this book because I thought it was the perfect level for Scarletts reading. It took us a while to read it and we took it in turns. The story was simple yet it held enough content to keep Scarlett interested. The chapter were short and held an individual story in each one, although they read together to create one story.   I liked the pocket style design too. It made a great travel book and Scarlett took it out with her in the car at the weekend.  The illustrations were lovely, simple but attractive. There are lots of pictures on each page which makes it great for younger readers with a shorter attention span.  A lovely 'little gem'!

This is a funny story with some lovely details and engaging illustrations. Although its a longer book than we'd often read, my 2.5 year old was rapt from start to finish. I think it would also appeal to children quite a few years older. My little one liked the idea of the girl in the story Izzy, being seen as an 'earth monster' by the sweetly illustrated alien girl Zaleb. The story includes some exciting moments to catch the imagination, including a wishing moon and a Dragon ride. My daughter also found the fridge monster very funny - who wouldn't like jelly and sausages for a midnight snack?! The attention to detail and humorous touches will appeal to older readers and the ending of the story leaves the reader waiting to find out what adventures happen next. A fun read.
