"Catherine Rayner has the marvellous gift for capturing the souls of animals in a few, rich washes of colour." - The Daily Telegraph.
Help your toddler learn to count from one to ten with this stylish counting book from Catherine Rayner. The simple text gently touches on themes of happiness, friendship and the natural world, making it the perfect companion to the classic picture book, Augustus and His Smile. With sturdy board pages for little hands to turn, this beautiful tall-format board book encourages your child to practise their first numbers and develop their counting skills - and it's a wonderful gift for babies and toddlers too.

As with all of Catherine Rayner's books, this counting edition of Augustus is absolutely stunning! The book counts from 1-10 creatures (and footprints) along with the 'one ..... Tiger'. It incorporates some lovely descriptive language which is a welcome addition to a 'counting-focused' book. Language such as "one curious tiger", "one thoughtful tiger"...
The book is also incredibly sturdy - it's perfect for little ones to explore themselves without having to worry about the pages tearing/bending. We have several littlies who love to count anything and everything. They sit happily flicking through this book, counting and recounting the butterflies, raindrops, footprints etc. then start all over again. The illustrations are so beautiful and just make us smile.
