This is a story about a girl called Imelda who lives near a forest with fairies in, and one day the Goblin King comes along to cause trouble. There were lots of pretty pictures of fairies and I loved the Queen fairy the best as she had yellow hair like me and a pink dress. I thought the book was exciting and funny and loved it.

Love this book - like a 'new', traditional Fairy Story.

The detailed and wonderful illustrations are great and the Goblin King is truly quite scary (might need to check suitability for very young readers - however, refreshing to see it's not all cute-sy sweet), but original fairy tales didn't pull any punches...

The story is great and a subtle moral and a happy ending - perfect!

Fairies, goblins, magic and a proper 'baddie' - this tale is a classic for our times. Highly recommend.
