"In the forest, all is quiet, except for the chirps and tinkling of frogs and the faint squeak of a bat. Bushbabies run quiet as shadows along leafy branches, searching for food in the night". Emerging at dusk, the little bushbaby explores the bush at night. Feeding and grooming himself, he listens for his father's call protecting him from the hunting owls and genets. As dawn approaches, he moves towards a hidden nest that he shares with his family. This educational, picture book for children (6-10 age group) takes the form of a story, depicting the daily life and habits of the bushbaby. Jeremy (author and illustrator) has a background in animal ecology and was assisted by the scientific advisor, Dr Judith Masters, of the University of KwaZulu-Natal to develop the book.
