Irish storytellers called seanachies pass stories down to the next generation just as their ancestors have done for hundreds of years. In the "King with Horses' Ears and Other Irish Folktales", we learn the risk of keeping a secret, the power of a mother's love and the importance of laughing at yourself. From a mystical place where nobody grows old, to the Lost Island of Lonesome Seals, these special tales will transport readers to a land where the fantastic is entirely possible. It is a great edition to the growing "Folktales of the World" series!

Sally Lloyd-Jones worked in children's book publishing for several years where her job was basically to come up with funny ideas for what books can do (pop, flap, bounce, rock, float, squeak, tick) and write stories and rhymes to go inside. In 2000, she left to write full-time and currently lives in Manhattan.
