Nursery Sounds is a series of graded activity books in which Scamp the dog helps young children to learn letter sounds and to build and spell words. This book is suitable for children making the transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 1. Book 6 includes: letter blends (for example 'bl' 'pr' and 'sc'), silly alliterative sentences, the 'th' digraph (one sound made by two letters), rhyming word endings (for example '-all' and '-ake'), vowel digraphs (for example 'ea' and 'oa').
