Once upon a time there were three bears - Father Bear, Mother Bear and Baby Bear...This classic fairy story is retold for a new generation in this charming book, with lively illustrations throughout, simple vocabulary and familiar language that young readers can easily follow. Exquisite illustrations sparkle on every page, making this timeless tale even more magical. It is great for reading aloud to small children, or for more confident readers to enjoy by themselves. A family of three bears live together in a cottage in the countryside. One fine morning, Mother Bear makes porridge for their breakfast, but it is very hot, so the three bears go for a walk while it cools down. While they are out, a little girl named Goldilocks finds the cottage. The door is slightly ajar, so she marches inside! In the kitchen, she finds three bowls of porridge. She tries the big bowl, but porridge is much too hot. Next she tries the medium-sized bowl, but it is much too cold. Then she tries the little bowl, which is just right. Naughty Goldilocks eats it all up! After eating, she feels rather sleepy. She trots up the stairs and finds three beds. The big one is too hard.
The medium-sized one is too soft. But the little one is just right. Before very long, Goldilocks has fallen fast asleep. What will happen when the three bears get back from their walk...? Shiny details on every page of this delightful boardbook bring this popular fairy tale to life. Some storybooks are too big, some storybooks are too small, but this storybook is just right!
