Colonel Jellybutton-Brown
who suddenly got swallowed down
missed by his nephews and nieces
may he rest in little pieces.
When Colonel Jellybutton-Brown is unexpectedly swallowed by a lion, Mrs Jellybutton-Brown searches for people to fill the largest house in town. In moves a boom-boom military drummer, an oom-pa-pa-ooompa trombonist, a rat-tat-tappy tap dancer and an oh-do-ray-me singer producing a riotous house where nobody can sleep. In this charming book of boisterous characters and delightful illustrations, we learn to get along, work together and make beauty in harmony and fun. Published posthumously, this is one of beloved South African illustrator and writer Niki Daly’s early books, never before published.
