Arf expects to have to stay at home during the school holidays, while his sisters enjoy a trip to France. However, because of his customary haplessness, the plans go awry and he find himself running a camping ground and re-enacting a battle between the Saxons and the Normans! Philip is the creator of the popular character Arf, first in the Comix series, and now a little older in Black Cats. Philip's first Black Cat, Moonmallow Smoothie, was published in May 2003. His other books for A&C Black include Spooked and The Baked Bean Machine, in the Chillers series.
