This book tells the story of an unloved street tree. Living in the centre of a bustling city, Chester is overlooked and ignored. The residents of Southend don’t realise at first just how lucky they are to have such a wonderful tree. But gradually, as people go about their day facing a variety of challenges, Chester is there to save the day!
Providing shade, clean air and not to mention the perfect home for Tweet the bird, everyone comes to realise just how great it is to have a big street tree around.
This tale will encourage children (and adults!) to appreciate the trees around them amongst the traffic, buildings and concrete and to take care of them as well as providing new little tree friends who will be there for each other and us long into the future!
