the Signing Friends - a series focused on helping you and your child learn
Makaton through story books. Produced in association with the Makaton
Charity.
Each
book features colourful and inclusive illustrations alongside stories that
utilise vocabulary from the Makaton Communication Programme. Inside you'll
find a QR code which will take you to a bespoke video demonstrating how to sign
the text so that you can in turn read and enjoy the book with your child/ren. Please
note Makaton signs and symbols are not featured in the book. There will be
supporting resources available for each title.
Learn to count to from 1-10 with Poppy and her
menagerie of pets! This activity book features Poppy signing the number
alongside her favourite pet animals - have you got 9 lizards living in YOUR
house?
Have fun with your child copying Poppy's counting
and learning the most popular pet signs. There is also a double-page
spread to find the animals in a scene and a visual line up of the number of
animals to count along at the end.
