the Signing Friends - a series focused on helping you and your child learn
Makaton through story books. Produced in association with the Makaton
Charity.
Each
book features colourful and inclusive illustrations alongside stories that
utilise vocabulary from the Makaton Communication Programme. Inside you'll
find a QR code which will take you to a bespoke video demonstrating how to sign
the text so that you can in turn read and enjoy the book with your child/ren. Please
note Makaton signs and symbols are not featured in the book. There will be
supporting resources available for each title.
Lola has come to visit Poppy for dinner - but
there's nothing to eat in the cupboard! Join the friends as they go to the
shops together to get some food. Learn lots of relevant vocabulary for a trip
to the supermarket and find out what they buy for dinner!
