As a crew of documentary film-makers and explorers makes their way across Skull Island, they discover the giant gorilla Kong. The beautiful actress, Ann Darrow, becomes the object of Kong's affection, and the crew soon traps him and makes plans to bring him back to New York. After breaking free from captivity, Kong attempts to flee with Ann clutched in his giant hand. Closely pursued by Ann's fiance, Jack Driscoll, Kong rages through New York leaving a path of destruction in his wake. Will Jack be able to save Ann before it's too late?
