Great little book with thick pages means my daughter can turn the pages independently. Her grandma loves to read it to her. It's not too long great for a little rest and a read.

This is a lovely book from the Spot series. It's a board book so it's very durable and ideal for toddlers to read and handle independently; as it's not a lift-the-flap book there is nothing to pull off or damage.

The pictures as always are great; they complement the accompanying, simple text very well. They are ideal for drawing attention to as we read to build word association.

The story is very gentle;it outlines activities that Spot undertakes with his Grandma - such as reading a story or gathering eggs from the chickens. It's a sweet jumping off point to start talking about similar daily activities or what happens at their Grandma's instead.

It's not the most exciting "Spot" book - it doesn't hold my toddlers' attention quite as well as others in the series. That said, it is a calming read that is great for winding down, such as bedtime.

My 2-year-old has loved Spot books from as soon as she could pick books up. This one isn't lift-the-flap which she was a bit disappointed about but she still enjoyed the story (basically Spot and his grandma spending time together). If I'm being picky I'm a bit annoyed that Spot's grandma has to be baking rather than doing something a bit more fun and not quite so gender-sterotyped but that's just me - my little girl didn't notice!

The kids loved that this was a Spot book however it was quite boring and didn't hold their interest for long.
