Another funny, fast-moving adventure from the bestselling Supertato series.

The Evil Pea is back on the loose and there's anarchy in the supermarket aisles again! Can our caped potato superhero divert disaster? Or is he going to need backup?

The fabulous character from Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet , the bestselling, award-winning creators of Barry the Fish with Fingers , I Need a Wee and Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell .

Perfect for fans of Oi Frog!

My 4 year old son adores Sue Hendra books, and this one did not disappoint!  It follows on with Supertato and the evil pea once again, and the illustrations are bright, cheerful and colourful!  My son laughed out loud at the new veggies that join Supertato, and in fact this inspired him to dress up as Supertato for world book day this year.  Highly recommend this book for boys and girls aged 3 - 8.  It's brilliant!

This story went down really well with my kids- they loved the clear colourful illustrations, the over-dramatic text (oh no! How will supertato escape from the evil pea!!). It is very snappy and catchy with lots of great phrases that the children loved incorporating into their superhero play afterwards. It also presented a great opportunity to discuss more unusual veggies like marrow and butternut squash.

The perfect book for superhero lovers! One of the frozen peas in the supermarket has turned evil and switched the freezers off. Everything is defrosting and it's up to Supertato and his Veggie team to save the food items. It's pack with fun little quips that make it fun for me as a parent and it's also highly educational. It's taught my son more about vegetables and even that a tomato is a fruit, not a veggie!

We absolutely love Supertato so may be a little biased but this book was amazing. The evil pea is back trying to cause chaos in the supermarket but this time he's got reinforcements to help with the havoc. Is Supertato outnumbered or can he find some Super friends to help him out just in time. The illustrations in this book are wonderful and the humour is great for kids young and old. A firm favourite of ours already and we've read it many times. We can't recommend the Supertato series enough.

Another great story, with really fun illustrations. This time the evil pea has escaped the freezer again and back upto his old tricks again. But when supertato is in trouble, he calls for his superhero veggie friends to help save the day. Lots of fun and action in this book which my superhero little boy loved.

Some vegetables are kept in the freezer for a reason..... when they defrost they go bad.... very bad..... and the most bad vegetable of all - EVIL PEA !! And in this sequel... Evil Pea has big plans.... indeed there are bags of baddies as Evil Pea manages to switch off all the supermarket freezers. Even Supertato needs help on this one.... summon the Vegetable signal (nice nod to batman)..... here comes Super Tomato (acknowledges he's really a fruit), Super Sweetcorn, Super Squash and Super Courgette to aid our hero. A great sequel with bright illustrations and lots of actions.... we've read this (and Supertato) four times each this morning ! Very popular!!

My daughter Perdita has discovered this book last week and we have read it...A LOT! She loves it as it is different from most stories with is being based in a supermarket and the villain is a frozen pea with the hero being a potato!
We enjoy putting on different voices to all the different produce.
I would recommend this book for all, even adults because it is a funny and bizarre read!

My daughter is not your stereotypical girl and she loves playing superheroes.  She loved this book and we have read it lots of times. It has lots of humour and a fantastic storyline.  It has even taught my daughter that a tomato is a fruit not a vegetable.  It has amazing, colourful illustrations and my daughter loves the last page where the ice lollies think they're back to normal but they've melted and look really funny; she thinks it's hilarious that the fish fingers are laughing at them. I would definitely recommend this book and we will most definitely buy the other Supertato books.

Lo is a massive Evil Pea fan...so a whole freezer full, together with the play on ‘Avengers Assemble’ this is perfect.

Lots of fun touches...and the usual fab illustration...and a meeting with  some new ‘super veggies’...will Supertato save the day, or will The Pea triumph at last?
