Although this book was given to my eldest daughter when she was one, I think she has come to appreciate the humour in it since being older. When she was younger she liked the story, but now she is older she 'gets' the humour!
As with all of the Mr Men and Little Miss stories, it is very well-written and has clear illustrations.
Now my younger daughter is enjoying it and we save it for the week leading up to her birthday to make it a special book.

This charming tale is the 35th in the Little Miss series of books. It tells the story of Little Miss Birthday who loves every single day, as everyday is someone's birthday. She prides herself in giving the perfect present; that is until it's Mr Wrong's birthday and she can't think of a single idea.

It's a sweet story that promotes thoughtfulness and kindness. My son really enjoys this story - we revisit it frequently; he loves seeing what Little Miss Birthday gets her friends.

The illustrations are bright and bold; they capture my children's attention: they complement the text and help give meaning to the words we're reading. As it's only small it's a perfect size for my toddlers to handle themselves.

About Adam Hargreaves

It all started with a tickle. Roger Hargreaves' son Adam asked him what a tickle looked like. In response, Roger drew a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. The idea that a tickle could be a character in its own right sparked an idea in Roger's mind. Roger was a successful copywriter but he wanted to do...
