"Headwork Anthologies" are a new strand in the "Headwork" series for low-ability students. They present a wide range of accessible fiction and non-fiction resources for students at Key Stage 3. These resources are arranged in thematic units and, in accordance with the National Curriculum, familiarize students with many different forms and styles of writing. One theme in each book focuses particularly on language, using word games, puzzles or riddles. The activities section opens up opportunities for discussion and role play and the resource texts provide models for students' own writing in many forms and styles. Each book brings together a collection of poems, newspaper articles, autobiography, information leaflets, stories, reference texts, cartoons, lists, jokes, word games and dialogues.
