The gruffalo is always our go to book when we can't choose what to was next so this little spot and say book is a lovely little book to add to our collection. My 3yr old loves to spot everything on each page and sometimes the extra details too.

We love the Gruffalo so couldn't wait to find all the different things in the deep dark wood. The book is a great size for little ones and is hardback. It has handy tabs to help small children turn the pages themselves. On each double page you get to look for different things in a scene. As an example the first picture asks you to find the things in the sky. There are three to find on each scene and they are written below the picture so adults know what to help look for and young readers can find them more easily. A fun book for any Gruffalo fan.

I read this to my baby and toddler and they didn't really identify with the animals in the spot and say, they only knew the mouse and the gruffalo. The illustrations were lovely as can be expected from any gruffalo book but even though it's supposedly a baby / preschool range I felt it was still too grown up for them.
