This has given my daughter hours of entertainment we read the story then go back and do the puzzles. The only issue is if more than one puzzle is taken out you don't no which page it belongs to, so this is one book that is kept out of my daughters reach! The book is a lovely hardback and the story and Illustrations are true to the original gruffalo book

I have a love hate relationship with this book. My daughter was given it for her 3rd birthday.  We already have the gruffalo story book which she hasn't shown much interest in (although my elder children loved it) preferring night monkey day monkey abd what the ladybird heard.

It's a clever story,  it rhymes,  it's illustrated by Axl Scheffler.  There's nothing not to like about the story. It's the jigsaw part I'm not so keen on. Much as a like a jigsaw, I much prefer them contained in a box instead of falling out of story book pages. The back of the puzzle pieces are at least colour coded so you can quickly tell which pages they belong to. Not the best format for a bedtime story though.

Personally I'd prefer separate jigsaws and story books.
